01 Nov Adams tournament story
Hey, my names Adam Copeman and I have been involved within the miniature war-gaming hobby for the past ten years or so. A good friend of mine showed me this hobby along with some other mates and I caught the bug for the hobby pretty much instantly.
My other love is for music, specifically my love of playing the drums. Recently I have graduated studying a BA Hons degree within the subject, you could say my main passion is music. My second is miniature wargaming certainly.
When Joe approached me and another friend to be part of a little side project he was working on, I couldn’t say no to it. The idea to create a film based on the wargaming history/story was awesome. Nothing like this to my knowledge has ever been done before and I was keen to be involved and to help out in anyway I could.
Joe’s idea was to take myself and another friend to a Bolt Action tournament in Manchester called Britcon. In the run up to this tournament we played a fair amount of games with each other to iron out the lists etc ready for the tournament. Being Russian, manpower was easy for me. (A pain in the butt to paint up!!) But getting the right amount of troops/tanks in each list was super important.
After the list was put together it was time to get the models painted up and finished. I will cover how I painted my army in another post, but for now you need to know it did take a while to get though all these men. So thats pretty much the start to my story but there will be a lot more to come.
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think.
